Some of us may think that writing specifications (in software engineering) is a bureaucratic process that takes time and work and may denounce a weak communication and coordination in a project team. From requirements to WBS, we have been contemplated with lousy specs that support this argument. What is indeed the role played by specifications in a project? How can I write a good specification?
